KatLover
As we’ve all come to notice, in the past few decades, Filipinos have begun to infest the United States like some sort of disease. Their extensive involvment in the U.S Armed Forces is proof of the trashy kind of qualities all filipinos tend to exihibit on a regular basis. You can see this clearly by studying the attitudes and cultural Icons of most Filipino Americans.

PART I: Origins of Pinoys/Pinays: Are they really asian?
PART II: Young Filipino Americans: The Disease of Society
PART III: The Conclusion: Recognize your Roots (A Message to Filipinos)
Please recognize your ROOTS! You come from the the Third World! Your country is a disgusting and filthy place. Most people there, live in poverty! Your culture has MUCH MORE SPANISH influence than chinese, and absolutly not JAPANESE influence whatsoever. People in Japan and China, do not act like you. They do not constantly talk about sex and they have a MUCH HIGHER level of RESPECT for each other. There is NO WAY that you, can connect yourself to Asia other that location. Your culture and technological advancement does not even come CLOSE to what Chinese people have done in the past and what the Japanese and Korean people are doing now! Everything you do is distinctly filipino. You cannot take credit for the Japanese Cars, Video games, or Hentai!
It’s not an “asian thing” it’s an “american thing”. You have no concept of culture… no concept of asian ideas or asian philosophy! Can you demonstrate how you use Confucianism and Taoism in you everyday life?? You can’t. And you will never be able to. I understand that you are trying to create an identity for yourselves as young people… but it is NOT related to Asia.
Your Identity is Filipino. That’s all you are. Just Filipino. Think about what it means….

Sincerly,
Art

(You can read the letter in Bob Ong’s Bakit Baliktad Magbasa ng Libro ang mga Pilipino. Pages 123-129)

Note: (unedited) this letter is from someone who has nothing more left to do but being a KSP and a certified “Pinagkaitan ng tadhana kaya sya ngayon ay sawi”. Who ever wrote this letter must be really out of his mind to tell who or what a pinoy is. Or shall I say, “A great wanna be”, a “perfectionist” perhaps? If you have problems with Pinoys, why don’t you just try making use of your time finding out what’s wrong with your kind rather than judging us Pinoys.
Did you fell in love with a Filipina and just got dumped? Or the other way around. Says who we are taking credit of the Japanese Cars? Video Games? or Hentais? Or you’ve been fooled by a bot in the chat room pretending to be a sexy filipina who’s willing to show her tits on web cam and you obediently send her money? Who’s who? How did you know about the identity of AzNRacr_X? How about AznGuRLie? and what about PiNOY_PLaYR? FYI sweetheart, in the chat room. You can be anyone and anything you want to be. You can be a rich bachelor, who drives a SLK Mercedes while in real life you’re nothing but a big fat ass loser. You see, you can be someone who’s not.
You mentioned many times that Pinoys didn’t do any good in the world? Well, hello? Are you some kind of a genius to know the difference between good and bad? And you think that after writing and publishing this letter you’d become a great person? Dont you realize that when you wrote this letter you also made the same mistake? You think that you’re better than us Pinoys? What if I say to you: “Isa kang malaking taeng mabaho” Would you understand that? I dont think so… But “WE”, Pinoys do. Anyway, let me translate that for you. “You’re one hell of a stinking shit.”
Come on! You think you’re superior to us? You can only understand English, because you’re white. Do not underestimate the capacity of Pinoys when we talk about languages. We have English subjects here in the Philippines, while you dont have Filipino subjects in your class.
Do you know how to pay respect to your elders? Your kids talk to you like you are in the same age! You only have Yes and No (that you also use), Mr. and Mrs., Sir and Madam to address those people for the sake of casualty. While our kids here have “Po and opo”, “Ho and Oho”, “ate and kuya”. And I am 3 scores ahead of you now.
You dont know how to cook adobo? But we know how to make spaghetti. We can make fries out of sweet potatoes without making the taste different with your potato fries. We can survive with rice and salt, but you cant. America doesn’t have Balut, Isaw, Betamax and other more internal organs that we cook on the sidewalk because they only know one thing on the stick… Hotdogs. ^_^v
You’re to proud to be an American as if you’re the best of all raises? Then why are you hiring filipino workers to work for the US? Its really simple you know. There are things that Pinoys can do that Americans cant. And so we are. Why are there Americans who keep on coming back to Philippines if we are a DISGUSTING and FILTHY PLACE?! Yeah, we maybe classified to the “third world country” like you said. But surely we are not that desperate to be a KSP just to be famous. That we would use other peoples sake just to do you good. I will not praise myself as a pinoy because we also have our own bad, but I am 100% sure that doesn’t give you any right to INSULT us.
And by the way, if we are not Asians. What raise do we belong? There are only 7 continents dear. We cant be a European, its impossible because its in the other side of Asia though we’ve been Colonized by the Spaniards (like you said, we are more influenced by them), but that doesn’t involve the whole European Country. Perhaps, Australians? Nah, I don’t think so because Philippines was not involved in Australia in our so-called Philippine History. Of course, its also impossible for us to be Africans. Antarctica? Ow come on!! No one would agree that we are Antarcticans.
Let me tell you what I think, you kept on convincing yourself that we are not Asians because you kept on comparing us with the Japanese and Chinese who are known for being an independent and very progressed countries. Question is: Are Japan and China the only countries in Asia? Does your map says that? Asian is used to distinguish the people in the continent as a “WHOLE”. Because if you try using: Thais, Vietnamese, Japanese, Chinese, Malays, Indians, Koreans, Filipinos and so on… to call the people living by county in Asia, you’ll be consuming a lot of time just by checking it. Oh by the way, when you said that we are just related to Asia because its the closest continent in the Philippines? Here’s a piece of Philippines History.
Before you blame the Spaniards, to be the closest root of our citizenship. Think before you speak. Because there were the Itas.Followed by the Malays (led by their Datu) and then the Hindus who came here in the Philippines to settle. So you see, YOU JUST INSULTED THE OTHER ASIANS WHO BECOME OUR ANCESTORS. And yes, we are “JUST” Filipinos… “Just” pinoys who knows how to value culture, traditions, and of course… OUR ROOTS. And about demonstrating your said “Confucianisms or Taoism”. We know that, even though we are a Catholic Country and your perfect description of 3rd World country. It is being taught in our History Class in Elementary as a RESPECT TO OUR ROOTS.

Now, I’m returning you, your statement:
Yes, WE ARE FILIPINOS… OUR IDENTITY IS FILIPINO. THAT’S ALL WE ARE, JUST FILIPINOS.

Sincerely,
Aina Patricia Torres-Marquiz

Destination: Puerto Galera, Mindoro

Ok, as we all know Mindoro is an island in Region IV-B A.K.A MiMaRoPa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan)Last January, I decided to take a break from school. A place where i can go and relax my mind.
From my starting point, which is Lipa City, Batangas. Well, there are alot of choice. But if we are to talk about budget, I have to limit that one. My province has a lot to offer. There’s Laiya, Bauan, Nasugbu, Lemery, Cuenca, and many more.
Like every Municipalities has something to show off. Promoting local tourism in a cheap way. That’s the idea I have in mind. I’m a student and only saves money from my allowances. Meaning my budget has a limitation.
And because of that idea, why prioritize going abroad to have a vacation when you can have the same quality of places to go to here in the Philippines? Well, except for the snow. We don’t have that here in the Philippines.
I’m a jet setter in a Pinoy way.. And I’m not even ashamed of that.
Filipino Families has their own way of consuming their holidays. Like going the beaches and resorts, eating outside, handling family reunions, going to the church, malling, and many more. Family bonding is one of our traditions that
has a strong hold. My family belongs to the not-so-rich and the not-so-poor level. I was only 4 when I first saw Mindoro, as a part our field trip. So there’s no clear vision anymore of how or what it looks like. When I got to high school,
again, I had my chance to go Mindoro as a part of my Boy scout activity (I am a rover scout way back that time.). That time, I had the chance to visit few places. Together with my teachers, Ms. Cristeta Cantos and Mrs. Julie Ramos. We took the opportunity
to roam around. Not to mention that Ms. Cantos was a native of Mindoro. We went to the ancestral house of our Vice President Noli de Castro in Pola, Orriental Mindoro. Lots of beautiful memories Back to the topic… My mission was to look for places where you can hide (^^,) and rest your mind. The budget? Believe it or not? P5,000.00!! Yep!!
Here we go!!

Saturday Morning:
6:00am From Lipa City, you can take a bus to the Batangas Sea Port. The fare is only around P42.00 (minimum for air conditioned buses).
Its a 30-40minute drive. I arrived at the pier around quarter to 7. At the port, you can choose for the ride you want. Our destination is White Beach, Puerto Galera.
Dont get confused, Because there’s Sabang and Long Beach, Puerto Galera. I chose the earliest trip. MV Brian. By the way there’s 7:30am, 11:00am and 2:00pm trip. The fare would cost you about P200.00 one way. And because it’s January, which is still under the off-pick season. There are only few tourists. The boat left around 9am. From the port, Puerto Galera is only an hour travel. I was really excited to sea Puerto galera. Though my parents and aunts are a constant view there, I’m not a part of it.
Honestly, that was my first time to go there and I’m alone. On the way, my eyes were mesmerized by the sites. There comes Isla Verde, which is supplied by Solar Power. The first one in the Philippines. Lobo, Batangas where the beaches are popularly known with its rock and gravels. The clear blue sea, the big waves rushing our way. It an experience!! By the way, the boats that travels in Puerto Galera
are known as Batil, its about 3-4times larger than fishing boats. Don’t worry, it doesn’t sink that easy, it was designed to battle with the big waves.

As minutes turned to an hour. I finally saw Puerto Galera kilometers away. I can hear the other tourists utter their appreciation with the islands natural beauty. And its really a big WOW!! The white sand that dances with the waves, the crystal blue green water, and the people. I cant hardly wait, minutes more I’ll be setting my feet on the ground. Others started taking pictures to capture its welcome.
I was so proud and glad that I choose to go there that time.

Finding a Place to stay in wasn’t that hard. If your the type of person who only came to that place to unwind and have you privacy valued. Explore the place first. There are a lot of Hotels and Cottages to choose from. But I would recommend Summer Connection Resort, the rooms are cheap but neat, the rest rooms are clean, quiet and you can view the whole place 360 degrees in their rooftop.
Room rates starts at P800.00, good for 2-4 persons. OK, now that I already have a place to stay in for a night, my next activity now is to find a place to eat. My categories in food are: cheap but delicious and the place must be clean. As I roam around looking for a place, a nearby restaurant caught my attention. I got curious because there’s a lot of people eating there.
Chinese, Koreans, English, Americans and even local tourists. I even asked a masseuse who came to me and offered a massage. Well, is best to take an advise from a local. As they say, “to see, is to believe.” but this time?! To eat, is to believe. So I decided to eat there. I ate Inihaw na tilapia, chapsuy and 2 cups of rice for lunch. My lunch budget? P230.00 (dont worry, it still have a change.)
What a way to eat a lunch!! I’m full and cant hardly breath…
Siesta time

After resting, I decided to take a deep in the sea. I wouldn’t miss that for the world! The water was inviting and cool, its almost 3pm. People are also busy enjoying the afternoon sun. Some are playing in the shore, going tan under the sun, preparing for a banana boat ride, and snorkeling. The hours passed by quickly, before i noticed it? It was almost 6pm. The sun is starting to set, the skies that blends from the lightest gray to orange. The cool breeze begun to touch my skin. I fell in love with puerto galera.

If you feel like clubbing at night, puerto galera offers it too. there are live bands and discos where you can dance and drink till 12am.

the following day, Sunday. I woke up early to take a walk. Of course, after seeing how beautiful the sunset was. The sunrise also showed its own beauty.
After eating breakfast, I went to the souvenir shop. This is one of my weakness, shopping!! There are a lot of items to choose from. There are shirts that costs around P70-180.00 Key chains that can be bought from P10-50.00, figurines made by the locals, henna tattoos and many more! For short, I am obliged to buy something for my parents, brothers and some friends.
Around 10am I went to the ticketing boot to buy my ticket. The boat will be leaving at 12pm. Meaning I only have only 2hours more to enjoy my stay. I went back to the hotel to drop the items i bought. Its time to call the driver to pick me up at the pier. The remaining hours was spent into picture taking. Though i forgot my camera, its a good thing that my phone has its own.
11:30am I checked out and thanked everyone in the hotel. they were really nice 12pm The boat sounds it siren as a sign of boarding. Its time to leave. Time to go back in my busy world..
Hasta La proxima vez Puerto galera… till next time.
